3 Column Minima Template for Blogger

Sometimes fancy blog templates look great, but one of the problems I’ve found is that a lot of fee blog templates have elements I like - and elements I would prefer to change. A lot of the time I want something that works without a lot of tinkering with the code. Ultimately I want a basic blog template with easily changeable colours and that isn’t limited to a narrow choice of topics. Frequently I find myself using the Minima template from Blogger. One of the limitations of the Minima Blogger template is it’s 2 column design. I search around quite a bit but couldn’t find a 3 column version of Minima for Blogger that I was happy with. Actually I found very little in the way of 3 column versions of Minima. So I decided to invest the time to build a solid 3 column version of Blogger’s Minima template (originally by Douglas Bowman of stopdesign.com) and make it available for download. I call the template Minibox because I did decide to add some extra outlines to the sidebar widgets and the main blog content.

Blog Template Features:

• XML template for new blogger
• Change colors from within blogger
• Compatible with Blogger drag-and-drop layout editor
• Ad-free - No forced ads
• AdSense compatible - Put your ownAdSense ads on your blog
• Same variable and CSS section names as Minima so if you’re familiar with the Minima CSS and Blogger XML code it will be easy to read and modify the Minibox template code.

Installation Tips:

• Backup your current template. Blogger let’s you download your current template as a backup, or you can cut and paste the template into a text file.
• The method I’ve been using is to open the new template in a text editor and copy and paste it overtop of your existing blogger template code (Go to ‘Edit HTML’ in the ‘Layout’ tab of your Blogger customization/administration page). Do NOT expand widgets before pasting the new template code. My template file does not include the expanded widget code (no changes were necessary).
• Also, if you have already have custom widgets on your blog (maybe you created a link list, or added a picture in your sidebar), you need to take some extra steps to avoid wiping them out with the new template. I will post another article on how to do this if someone needs some help. In the meantime leave a comment if you have any questions or run into any installation problems and I will try to respond as quickly as possible.
• If you’re blog is relatively new or you don’t mind reconfiguring your widgets you can just upload the XML file (Go to ‘Edit HTML’ in the ‘Layout’ tab of your Blogger customization/administration page) after you download it from below.

At the bottom you will also get 3 columns area you can fill it with anything you think is important. you can put there your featured posts list or your most popular posts list. then you can even put your recent post, or anything.

You can even put your ads there.

This template is so widgetized. so if you want to install this template, you have to carefully read all the steps below, and give more attention here.

So Gosu is back from his vacation and hes brought us a magnificent template on his return, the Vibrant blogger template was originally designed by Custom theme design.
Just as the name suggests, this template literally radiates energy and life. But apart from just being a vibrant three column template this skin is actually feature packed with a good amount of ready made sections.

The template starts of with the navigational menu tabs on the top left, while on the right we have a neat search bar. The blog title under the menu tabs, with space to hold the description on the right hand side.

Then starts the main column in a neat rounded box with the headline in blue, the post date finds itself neatly placed under it, then a light blue separator holds the author and comment count. The end of the post is divided with a thin line, on the other side lies the labels.

The sidebar has some well defined sections, it starts of with a RSS section where a visitor can subscribe to your feeds, it also includes a subscribe by email. Under that is a 125 x 125 ad box that can hold up to three advertisements. Below that is a tabbed navigation menu that fits the colors of the blog.

Then you have the sidebar dividing into two columns, so apparently this is a very useful sidebar. All the widgets in the sidebar have a nice header that suits the theme, and to end it there is a subscribe to RSS even in the footer and a link to go back to the homepage, I suggest you complete the blog with a jump to the top link.

Slined Mod 2.0

One of the best four column blogger templates that was built for wordpress by Dandyna and is now available for blogger thanks to Jack Book who ported it.


This template looks extremely futuristic and would probably suite an electronic music or game blog the best. Of course don't leave it up to my judgement if you like this template you can go ahead and download it.

It has a big space for the header image or blog title with a neat set of links that form the navigational menu above it. There is one sidebar on the left and two on the right hand side.

The template has the colour black as its primary color while it has neon strips running on top of the headers of the sidebars and navigational menu. Its a lovely template for a blogger who has a lot of content to showcase, if you like you can go ahead and download it!

This is a facebook lookalike blogger template designed by Weblogian. You can download it for free. Read the instruction for inserting your own Adsense Ad code and other basic instruction.
